South African Visa Documents Required for Indians

South Africa is the southernmost country in the African continent, which is well known for its landscapes, sceneries, wildlife sanctuaries, mountains, beaches, cliffs, and many more. As the South African government is quite strict with its rules, make sure to arrange all the required documents before travel.

1.   A valid passport with at least 30 days validity ( post-stay or departure from South Africa) and a minimum of 3 blank pages

2.   Duly filled application form-11(DHA-84). Must be complete with black ink and bold letters. And signed by the applicant. The sign should match the signature in the passport.

3.   Proof of funds required. You can submit the last three months' bank statements as proof. A minimum balance of INR 60,000 is required to be in the bank account.

4.   For a tourist visa, proof of accommodation or stay in South Africa with the applicant details needs to be submitted. As a part of this proof, the applicant’s visiting duration, contact details, and the hotel’s authorized signature are mandatory.

5.   A travel plan for each day should be submitted for the tourist visa.

6.   NOC from employer/ school as proof of strings attached to the home country.

7.   A vaccination certificate has also been made mandatory even before the Covid pandemic. Earlier it used to be for yellow fever and now the covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for any immigrant.

8.   Academic certificates as proof for education. And South African government announced visa exemption for overseas students.

9.   The transfer letter from the employer with the job role and reason for the transfer. This applies to the intercompany transfer candidates.

10.   A valid job offer letter or Call letter from the employer of South Africa. This is applicable for a general work visa for South Africa.

11.   Two recent passport size photographs

12.   For minors, a notarized letter from parents is mandatory if traveling alone.

13.   Birth certificates for minor dependent children applicants.
