Students who aspire to study MBA
at the best colleges in the world are often under the assumption that giving
the GMAT is their only option for applying to an MBA program abroad. However in
the recent past a number of illustrious business schools have started accepting
the scores of the GRE general test
as well as the GMAT scores for selecting students for admission to their MBA
course. There are numerous advantages to taking this approach some of which are
- 1. You can use your GRE scores to apply to both MS programs as well as MBA programs. If you are undecided about which course to pursue or are looking for increasing your chances of getting into a top ranked program, the GRE general is the better choice.
- 2. The GRE test gives you greater flexibility in answering the questions as compared to the GMAT. In the GMAT you are assigned a question which has to be answered at a specific point of time and you are not allowed to go back and forth on the questions. For the GRE you are allowed to answer the questions in any order you please. One important strategy is to practice the order of questions you will be taking during your GRE coaching sessions.
- 3. GRE scores are valid for five years – This will give you plenty of time to assess your career options and come to a conclusion about your future path
- 4. GRE has a Score Select option – This option enables you to attempt the test multiple times and retake the test after further GRE Coaching. You can then decide which scores you would like to send for your application.
The GRE exam is being
